May Day is about 2 weeks away! Is everyone excited yet!?

We've got flyers and have started distributing them. We could use your help in putting them around town! You can pick some up at the AFSC building (2249 E Burnside St
Portland, OR) they will be on the porch in a purple bin or at the JWJ office (1500 NE Irving St #585)

We've also got some wonderful speakers and music. Great organizations will be tabling. And then we'll march along our route together yelling our chants, making our voices heard.

But May Day 2014 could be even better with your help!
We want you to come to the next May Day Coalition meeting with your excitement on April 23rd at 5:30pm at the JWJ office (1500 NE Irving St #585)

We need folks to sign up to help collect donations at the rally, "peace keepers" (there will be a training beforehand), and make some art! Come to the next meeting or send us a message to portlandmaydaycoalition@gmail.com

May Day is Fast Approaching!

With only a handful of weeks until May 1st, 2014, The Portland May Day Coalition will begin meeting weekly!

The next meeting will be Wednesday, April 16th at 5:30pm at the JWJ office located at 1500 NE Irving on the 5th floor.

Preliminary planning and outreach has begun for May Day 2014!

We've been in touch with local unions and community groups already but wanted to let everyone know that the next meeting will be February 5th, 5:30pm at the JWJ office located at 1500 NE Irving on the 5th floor.

Please come to participate, there's a lot of work that still needs to be done such as flyer design, general art, help with fundraising, route planning, and other logistics!

Also, if your organization would like to endorse May Day 2014 and has money to donate, please send checks to VOZ at 1131 SE Oak St. Portland, OR 97214 with MAY DAY 2014 in the memo line.
