May Day Coalition 
Meetings to plan march and rally -
  • Saturdays at 1:30pm at St Francis Church, 1131 SE Oak
  • Wednesdays at 5:30pm at St Francis Church, 1131 SE Oak

Volunteer on May 1st

Some roles include:
  • Hold a bucket – Fundraising buckets as the crowd marches
  • Welcome people - Say hello!, collect volunteer and contact information for future events.
  • Doulas - Help people find restrooms, provide directions, help guide marchers.
  • Be fast on your feet - Runners to help with logistics or communications during the march.
  • Bring the noise - Be part of the drum corps, bring your noise makers, toot your horns.
  • Leave it better than we found it - Help to clean up rally site.
  • Labor - Help with setup or break down of the rally or at stops along march.


Other activities on May Day

There are many other groups planning various actions on May 1st, including space liberation, direct action, feeder marches, and street theater.

All actions, marches, and rallies on May Day are being coordinated through the May Day Spokes Council, of which the May Day Coalition is a member.

Spokes Council meeting -- Saturday, April 28th at 11am in the First Unitarian Church room B201, SW 12th and Taylor (enter through alleyway on 12th).
